Beer #6 in the advent calendar was a selection from another local Chicago brewery, Spiteful. Billed as a winter ale brewed with spices, Jingle Balls is a pretty solid winter ale. You can -- or at least I can -- taste some cinnamon and maybe some nutmeg or vanilla. It has kind of a hoppy bitter finish, so it's not my favorite winter ale, but it's still pretty damn good.

Good for drinking if: You realized you were totally derelict in your Krampusnacht responsibilities and failed to bind ill-behaved children in chains and throw them into a lake.
