Tuesday Top Ten: Names of Players Drafted in the 2017 NFL Draft

Last weekend was the 2017 NFL Draft.  It was a magical time for 31 out of 32 teams in the league and their fans.  As a Bears fan, I am just going to pretend the Bears didn't have any picks, since that might be easier to handle than what actually happened.  Perhaps my disgust will mean that Mitch Trubisky will become the NFL's all-time leading passer, leading the Bears to seven Super Bowl victories, before retiring to become the Bears' most-successful draft-day GM since Ryan Pace.

But I digress.  There were 253 draft picks in this year's draft, starting with Texas A&M DE Myles Garrett, taken first by the Browns (guaranteeing a career-ending injury sometime soon), and ending with this year's Mr. Irrelevant, Chad Kelly, a QB from Ole Miss whose uncle is Jim Kelly, taken by the Broncos.  In between Garrett and Kelly, there were some players with great names drafted.  Here are my thirteen favorite, in alphabetical order:

1.  Budda Baker (S, Washington) - Second Round (36), Cardinals
2.  Tarell Basham (DE, Ohio) - Third Round (80), Colts
3.  Jake Butt (TE, Michigan) - Fifth Round (145), Broncos
4.  Taco Charlton (DE, Michigan) - First Round (28), Cowboys
5.  Corn Elder (CB, Miami) - Fifth Round (152), Panthers
6.  Damontae Kazee (CB, San Diego State) - Fifth Round (149), Falcons
7.  Tanoh Kpassagnon (DE, Villanova) - Second Round (59), Chiefs
8.  Cooper Kupp (WR, Eastern Washington) - Third Round (69), Rams
9.  Shalom Luani (S, Washington State) - Seventh Round (221), Raiders
10.  Takkarist McKinley (DE, UCLA) - First Round (26), Falcons
11.  JuJu Smith-Schuster (WR, USC) - Second Round (62), Steelers
12.  Teez Tabor (CB, Florida) - Second Round (53), Lions
13.  Cordrea Tankersley (CB, Clemson) - Third Round (97), Dolphins
