Now that we are in Week 4 of quarantining/working from home/social distancing, and there is no realistic end in sight, for the Retro Video of the Week each week, I'm going to choose a video from the MTV Era -- again, which I define as the beginning of MTV (August 1981) until I graduated college (May 2000) -- that somehow relate to what we are going through now, whether it's a song about isolation, distance, disease, wanting to escape, and the like.
First up is "Keep Your Hands To Yourself" by southern rockers The Georgia Satellites. Released in 1986 on the band's self-titled debut, platinum-selling album, "Keep Your Hands To Yourself" was by far their biggest hit, reaching #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in February 1987 (and kept out of the #1 spot by Bon Jovi's "Livin' On a Prayer"). It's a fun-loving song about a woman who tells her boyfriend to keep his hands off her until they're married. In relation to COVID-19, you should keep your damn hands off of pretty much everything that hasn't been sanitized.
