CoronaVinyl Day 85 (12-Inch Single): "Dream Warriors" by Dokken

For an explanation of CoronaVinyl, click here.
Today's CoronaVinyl category is 12-inch single, which seems like a big waste of space, but I guess it was probably more for DJs than anything else.  I have acquired a few 12-inch singles over the years, and my choice for today is Dokken's 1987 song "Dream Warriors," which was the featured track for the soundtrack to the third installment of the Nightmare on Elm Street film franchise, also subtitled Dream Warriors.

Side 1 of the single features "Dream Warriors," which would be featured on the band's fourth studio album, Back for the Attack, released later in 1987.  The song would reach #22 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.  The video features Patricia Arquette, who starred in the film, as well as Freddy Krueger.

Side 2 features two songs.  "Back for the Attack" -- though it also has the same name as the band's forthcoming album -- was actually an unreleased song from the sessions for the band's prior album, 1985's Under Lock and Key.  "Paris is Burning" is a song from the band's debut album, Breaking the Chains, which was released in 1981 in Europe, but not until 1983 in the U.S.  The studio version of the song was originally called "Paris" on the European release, and then it was substituted for a live version on the U.S. release, on which it was called "Paris is Burning."  There's some super worthless knowledge for you.

Since there are only three songs, I'm not going to choose a favorite for each side, but instead will just give them all to you.
