Tomorrow marks the 35th anniversary of the release of Canadian rockers Glass Tiger's debut album, The Thin Red Line, which was the band's most successful album, both in the U.S. and their native Canada, reaching #27 on the Billboard album chart and #3 on the Canadian album chart.
The album featured three Billboard Top 40 hits, including the band's two biggest hits in the U.S., "Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone)" (#2) and "Someday" (#7) (the third charting song from the album was "I Will Be There" (#34)).
The band is probably best known for "Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone)" (in the U.S. anyway). It was co-written by two of the band members the album's producer, Jim Vallance, who is best known as Bryan Adams's longtime songwriting partner. It's a hell of a catchy pop rock song, featuring fellow Adams on backing vocals, and the video is a nice "live" video that received solid airplay on MTV.
