Over the last several weeks, you have indulged us, narrowing down a crowded and impressive field of 32 living American men and 32 dead American men to one.
It's not too much of a shocker, but the Coolest Dead American Man of the Last 100 Years -- Paul Newman -- beat the Coolest Living American Man of the Last 100 Years -- Robert Redford. It was a pretty close matchup, but Butch Cassidy topped the Sundance Kid, 57%-43%.
Thank you for participating -- and especially those of you who I constantly harassed.
Here is everything you need to recap this wonderful experiment in coolness:
-Original post about the Coolest American Man of the Last 100 Years and the criteria for inclusion
-Post with the final brackets for both the Living Man's Bracket and the Dead Man's Bracket, along with the timeline of voting.
-Round of 32 voting results
-Sweet 16 voting results
-Elite Eight voting results
-Final Four voting results
-Dead Man's Bracket and Living Man's Bracket Champion voting results
-Overall Champion voting results
We have a few more bracket ideas percolating, but I may take a little time off before starting another one, for my own sanity.
