With little more than a month left in the regular season, the White Sox (71-53) are a game ahead of the Twins (70-54) in the AL Central. Both teams are solid at home (Sox, 43-19; Twins, 44-23) and not so solid on the road (Sox, 28-34; Twins, 26-31). Both teams have some grueling road trips coming up. The Sox have a 10-gamer starting next week, and then a 10-gamer from 9/15-9/25, including a 3-game set in Minnesota from 9/23-9/25. Meanwhile, the Twins start a mammoth 14-game road trip this Thursday and have another 10-gamer from 9/12-9/22.
The Sox have 38 more games scheduled (including a make-up game against Baltimore next Monday): 18 home games and 20 road games.

-3 vs. Kansas City (5th in AL Central, 55-69 overall, 27-35 on the road)
Going by the law of averages, the Sox should go 13-5 at home and 9-11 on the road, to go 22-16 over their last 38 games and end up at 93-69. Meanwhile, the Twins should go 9-5 at home and 11-13 on the road, to go 20-18 over their last 42 games and end up at 90-72. Nice.
