Updated Championship Week Predictions

Here's what happened in yesterday's Championship Week action.  And just to be clear, my bubble is pretty expansive, but it includes all of the teams listed in ESPN's Bubble Watch, as well as the Last Four Byes, Last Four In, First Four Out, and Next Four Out in Joe Lunardi's Bracketology, and maybe a couple other fringe "high bubble" and "low bubble" teams.

• In the Big Ten second round, my beloved 10-seeded Hoosiers played the kind of game its fans have been waiting for since OG Anunoby went down for the season a month and a half ago, destroying 7-seed Iowa, 95-73, keeping their slim NCAA Tournament hopes alive. 8-seed Michigan didn't let its plane troubles get to it, beating up on 9-seed Illinois, 75-55, in practice uniforms (because their game uniforms were stuck in the plane that skidded off the runway yesterday) only a few hours after arriving in DC.  That likely clinches an at-large berth for the Wolverines and knocks Illinois out of the NCAA Tournament picture.  5-seed Michigan State obliterated 13-seed Penn State, 78-51.  6-seed Northwestern dominated 14-seed Rutgers, 83-61, avoiding having to fret on Selection Sunday.
• In a major upset in the Big 12 quarterfinals, 8-seed TCU beat 1-seed Kansas, 85-82.  This likely doesn't drop Kansas from a 1-seed in the NCAA Tournament (although they will no longer be the overall 1-seed), and it puts TCU back in the bubble conversation.  This is the earliest Kansas has lost in the Big 12 Tournament since 2009 and only the third time that Kansas has failed to advance to the semifinals since the Big 12 began to hold a conference tournament in 1997.
• Other than what I've already discussed, the following teams seeded in the top 4 of their conference lost:  
• Big East 2-seed Butler (to 7-seed Xavier)
• Big 12 3-seed Baylor (to 6-seed Kansas State)
• Big East 3-seed Providence (to 6-seed Creighton)
• Conference-USA 3-seed Old Dominion (to 6-seed Marshall)

• MEAC 3-seed Morgan State (to 11-seed Howard)
• Mountain West 3-seed Boise State (to 6-seed San Diego State)

• Pac-12 4-seed Utah (to 5-seed California)

• While no conference tournaments start up today, and a total of 18 conferences have games today, including 5 with quarterfinals (AAC, A-10, Big Ten, SEC, Sun Belt) and 13 with semifinals (ACC, Big 12, Big East, Big Sky, Big West, C-USA, MAC, MEAC, MWC, Pac-12, Southland, SWAC, WAC).  There are 46 college basketball games today.  The first games tip off at Noon Eastern, while the last batch is scheduled to tip off at 11:59 Eastern, so you're getting another 14 hours of college basketball today.  You should remain pumped.
