Updated Championship Week Predictions

Here's what happened in yesterday's Championship Week action, which saw 3 more bids clinched and several more 1-seeds go down:

• In the CAA final, 1-seed UNC-Wilmington beat 2-seed Charleston, 78-69, to earn the Seahawks their 6th trip to the NCAA Tournament and second in a row.
• In the MAAC final, 3-seed Iona beat 4-seed Siena, 87-86 in OT.  It seems like Iona always finds its way to the MAAC title game.  The Gaels will be going to their 12th NCAA Tournament berth and second in a row.
• In the In the SoCon final, top seed UNC-Greensboro fell to 3-seed East Tennessee State, 79-74, giving the Buccaneers their 10th NCAA Tournament berth and first since 2010.
• In the America East semis, top seed Vermont destroyed 4-seed New Hampshire, 74-41, while 3-seed Albany upset 2-seed and defending champ Stony Brook, 63-56.  When they meet for the league title on Saturday, the Catamounts will be playing for their 6th NCAA Tournament appearance and first since 2012, while the Great Danes will be playing for their 6th appearance as well, and first since 2015 (and fourth appearance in the last five years).
• In the Horizon League semis, 10-seed -- yes, 10-seed -- Milwaukee beat 6-seed UIC to advance to the final.  At 11-23, the Panthers would have the most losses ever for an NCAA Tournament team, if they can get by 4-seed Northern Kentucky, which beat 9-seed Youngstown State in the other semi.  The Panthers will be playing for their 5th NCAA Tournament berth and first since 2014, while the Norse -- yes, the Norse -- will be playing for their first NCAA Tournament berth since moving up to Division 1 four years ago.
• In the Summit League semis, 1-seed South Dakota lost to in-state rival South Dakota State, 74-71, while 3-seed Nebraska-Omaha trounced 7-seed IUPUI, 90-62.  The Jackrabbits will be playing for their 4th NCAA Tournament appearance and second in a row, and the Mavericks will be playing for their first NCAA Tournament appearance since moving up to D-1 for the 2011-2012 season.
• In the WCC semis, there were no surprises as 1-seed Gonzaga and 2-seed St. Mary's both advance to tonight's final.  Both are locks for the NCAA Tournament.  The Bulldogs will be playing in their 20th NCAA Tournament and 19th in a row, and the Gaels will be playing in their 9th NCAA Tournament and first since 2013.
• 4 bids are up for grabs today:  the Horizon, the NEC, the Summit League, and the WCC
• 3 conference tournaments start up today (including the first of the "major" conference tournaments -- the ACC), and a total of 8 have games today.
