Updated Championship Week Predictions: "Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat"

Yesterday was an exciting day of Championship Week action.  We had two overtime games, some games won in the last ten seconds, a few top four seeds go down in quarterfinals games (2-seed Youngstown State, 3-seed Green Bay, and 4-seed Wright State in the Horizon, and 3-seed Lafayette and 4-seed American in the Patriot), and our first title game matchup of 2024 Championship Week is set (in the A-Sun).  Madness!  In honor of the Stetson Hatters' come-from-behind win to clinch a spot in the A-Sun championship game -- their first championship game appearance since 2016 -- today's song is "Leopard-Skin Pill-Box Hat" off of Bob Dylan's seminal 1966 album Blonde on Blonde.

Here's what happened in yesterday's action and what we have to look forward to:

• In the A-Sun semifinals, 2-seed Stetson came back from a 10-point deficit with less than five minutes left to beat 10-seed Jacksonville, 88-87, on a go-ahead three with 4.3 seconds left, and 4-seed Austin Peay survived 6-seed North Alabama, 77-71.  When they face off in Sunday's final, the Hatters will be playing for their first ever NCAA Tournament appearance, and the Governors will be playing for their 8th appearance and first since 2016.
• In the Horizon quarterfinals, 1-seed Oakland bounced 8-seed Purdue Fort Wayne, 75-6, 7-seed Cleveland State upset 2-seed Youngstown State, 82-70, 6-seed Milwaukee upset in-state rival 3-seed Green Bay, 95-84, and 5-seed Northern Kentucky needed OT to beat 4-seed Wright State, 99-97, to advance to Monday's semifinals.  It's Oakland's tournament to lose at this point.
• In the OVC quarterfinals, 3-seed Morehead State walked all over 6-seed SIU Edwardsville, 78-63, and 4-seed Western Illinois got an off-balance floater with 2.8 seconds left to beat 5-seed Tennessee State, 61-59, to advance to today's semifinals.
• In the Patriot quarters, top seed Colgate cruised by 9-seed Holy Cross, 81-64, 2-seed Boston beat 7-seed Navy, 70-61, 6-seed Lehigh upended archrival 3-seed Lafayette, 76-61, and 5-seed Bucknell crushed 4-seed American, 80-57, to advance to Sunday's semifinals.
• In the Second Round of the Sun Belt, 5-seed Louisiana made easy work of 13-seed Coastal Carolina, 80-66, 11-seed Texas State upset 6-seed Southern Miss, 75-59, 10-seed Marshall upset 7-seed Georgia State, 86-74, and 9-seed Georgia Southern beat 8-seed South Alabama, 76-71, to advance to tomorrow's quarterfinals.
• In the First Round of the MVC, 5-seed Belmont dominated 12-seed Valparaiso, 86-61, 11-seed UIC upset 6-seed Southern Illinois, 84-82 in double OT, 10-seed Evansville downed 7-seed Illinois State, 59-53, and 9-seed Missouri State embarrassed 8-seed Murray State, 60-35, to advance to today's quarterfinals.
• In the First Round of the WCC, 8-seed Pepperdine absolutely annihilated 9-seed Pacific, 102-43, to advance to today's second round.
• Three conference tournaments start today (CAA, SoCon, Summit), and seven conference tournaments have games today.
• One conference tournament has semifinals today (OVC), and two conference tournaments have quarterfinals today (Big South, MVC).
