Anywho, I'm picking "Down With the Sickness" as the song for this week's Retro Video of the Week because it's the Disturbed song I'm most familiar with. I've always liked that "ooh-ah-ah-ah" that Draiman screams out at various points in the song. The song was certified platinum by the RIAA, and it hit #5 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and #8 on the Billboard Alternative chart.

Retro Video of the Week: "Down With the Sickness" by Disturbed
This coming Saturday marks the 20th anniversary of the release of Chicago-based metal band Disturbed's debut album, The Sickness, which made a pretty solid splash among the nu metal of the day. The album went to #29 on the Billboard album charts, but more importantly, it has gone 5x platinum in the U.S. Admittedly, I don't know a ton about Disturbed, other than that they formed in Chicago -- which I obviously appreciate -- and lead singer David Draiman has an unusual and interesting backstory.
