Retro Video of the Week: "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" by Journey

Today is the 40th anniversary of the release of Journey's eighth studio album, Frontiers.  It was a big success, hitting #2 on the Billboard album chart -- the band's third of five consecutive Top 10 studio albums in the U.S. It's also their second-best-selling studio album in the U.S., going 6x platinum (behind only 1981's Escape, which is certified diamond).  Frontiers was also Journey's highest-charting album in the UK, going to #6 on the UK albums chart.

The album featured four Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, all of which reached the Top 25, including some of their signature songs:  "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" (#8), "Faithfully" (#12), "After the Fall" (#23), and "Send Her My Love" (#23).

I'm going with "Separate Ways" because it's one of my favorite Journey songs, and it's a definite fist pumper.  Plus, the video is a classic, with the band hanging around outside a warehouse playing mostly air instruments and occasionally real instruments while some completely '80s chick walks around.  We don't know her story, although it appears at the end of the video that this may have all been her dream.
