Updated Championship Week Predictions: "Marathon"

Today's Championship Week theme song is "Marathon" by indie pop duo Tennis because today we will have 57 college basketball games over the course of 15 hours -- from the Toledo/Miami (OH) game in the quarterfinals of the MAC Tournament tipping off at 11 a.m. ET until the end of the UC Riverside/UC Davis game in the quarterfinals of the Big West Tournament, the Utah State/New Mexico game in the quarterfinals of the Mountain West Tournament, and the USC/Arizona State game in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 Tournament, all scheduled to tip off at 11:30 p.m. ET.

Here's what happened yesterday, and what we have to look forward to:

• In the Big Sky title game, 2-seed Montana State topped 9-seed Northern Arizona, 85-78. The Bobcats will be playing in their 5th NCAA Tournament and second in a row.
• In the Patriot League title game, top seed Colgate beat up on 6-seed Lafayette, winning 79-61 to clinch the Raiders' 6th NCAA Tournament appearance and third in a row.
• In the Southland championship, top seed Texas A&M Corpus Christi and 2-seed Northwestern State battled to an exciting finish, with Texas A&M CC coming out with a 75-71 win, to clinch the Islanders' 3rd trip to the Big Dance and second in a row.
• In the first half of the MAAC quarters, 1-seed Iona dominated 8-seed Mount St. Mary's, 74-54, and 10-seed St. Peter's becomes the first 10-seed in MAAC Tournament history to advance to the semifinals, upsetting 2-seed Rider, 70-62, to advance to tomorrow night's semis.
• In the first half of the MEAC quarters, top seed Howard destroyed 8-seed South Carolina State, 91-56, and 2-seed North Carolina Central followed suit with an 89-59 drubbing of 7-seed Delaware State, to advance to tomorrow night's semis.
• In the first half of the SWAC quarters, 8-seed Texas Southern -- which has won six of the last eight SWAC Tournaments -- upset 1-seed Alcorn State, 66-62, and 2-seed Grambling cruised past 7-seed Bethune-Cookman, 87-72, to advance to tomorrow night's semis.
• In the Second Round of the ACC, 5-seed Pitt survived 13-seed Georgia Tech, 89-81, 6-seed NC State trounced 11-seed Virginia Tech, 97-77, 7-seed North Carolina kept its slim NCAA Tournament hopes alive with an 85-61 win over 10-seed Boston College, and 9-seed Wake Forest beat 8-seed Syracuse, 77-74, on a last-second three to send Jim Boeheim into retirement, to advance to today's quarterfinals.
• In the Second Round of the A-10, 5-seed George Mason eked out a 62-57 win over 12-seed Richmond, 11-seed LaSalle outscored 6-seed Duquesne by 17 in the second half to cruise to an 81-70 win, 10-seed St. Joseph's downed 7-seed George Washington, 87-76, and 8-seed Davidson beat 9-seed St. Bonaventure, 65-54, to advance to today's quarterfinals.
• In the First Round of the Big 12, 7-seed Oklahoma State beat archrival 10-seed Oklahoma, 57-49, and 8-seed West Virginia crushed 9-seed Texas Tech, 78-62, to advance to today's quarterfinals.
• In the First Round of the Big East, 6-seed Villanova curb stomped 11-seed Georgetown, 80-48, 10-seed DePaul scored five points in the last seven seconds and got a block on a layup at the buzzer to beat 7-seed Seton Hall, 66-65, and 8-seed St. John's handled 9-seed Butler, 76-63, to advance to today's quarterfinals.
• In the First Round of the Big Ten, 14-seed Minnesota topped 11-seed Nebraska, 78-75, and 13-seed Ohio State won for the third time in the last four games, beating 12-seed Wisconsin, 65-57 (and all but ending the Badgers' NCAA Tournament hopes), to advance to today's second round.
• In the First Round of the C-USA, 6-seed Rice barely survived 11-seed UTSA, 72-71, as a UTSA layup at the buzzer was waved off, 10-seed Louisiana Tech bounced 7-seed FIU 81-76 in OT, and 8-seed Western Kentucky outlasted 9-seed UTEP, 73-67, to advance to today's quarterfinals.
• In the First Round of the MWC, 6-seed New Mexico overpowered 11-seed Wyoming, 87-76, 7-seed UNLV topped 10-seed Air Force in OT, 78-70, and 8-seed Colorado State beat 9-seed Fresno State in a 67-65 thriller, to advance to today's quarterfinals.
• In the First Round of the Pac-12, 5-seed Washington State beat up on 12-seed Cal, 69-52, 6-seed Arizona State improved its NCAA Tournament bubble status with a 63-57 win over 11-seed Oregon State, 10-seed Stanford downed 7-seed Utah, 73-62, and 9-seed Colorado beat 8-seed Washington, 74-68, to advance to today's quarterfinals.
• In the First Round of the SEC, 14-seed LSU ousted 11-seed Georgia, 72-67, and 13-seed Mississippi topped 12-seed South Carolina, 67-61, to advance to today's second round.
• Two conference tournaments start today (AAC, MAC), and a total of 16 conference tournaments have games today.
• No bids are up for grabs until Saturday and no conference tournaments have semifinals today, but 13 have quarterfinals (ACC, A-10, Big 12, Big East, Big West, C-USA, MAAC, MAC, MEAC, MWC, Pac-12, SWAC, WAC).
