You may have heard that Congressman Mark Souder – a man whose congressional website touts his strong belief in family and Christian values (one of which, by the way, is "you shall not commit adultery") – resigned after admitting to having an affair with a staffer. Souder, of course, has been married for over 35 years and has three children, presumably by his wife. He also thinks abstinence education works, which is neither here nor there, but may bear some relationship on his ignorance and/or his ability to form rational thoughts. He also apparently doesn't understand what "abstinence" means.
Anyway, I am anxiously awaiting the impending excuse. Which previously undiagnosed addiction will it be? Booze? Sex? Online trivia?
I find it hilarious and terribly pathetic when politicians and/or famous people get caught with their pants down and then conveniently blame it on some addiction. It couldn't possibly be because you felt like having sex with someone hotter and younger than your wife, and you thought you'd never get caught. For once, I want to hear a politician who gets caught cheating say, "Ain't nothin' but the dog in me."

What's funny is that she actually interviewed him on family values on tv. Must have decided to show her his family values up close n personal....
