Nothing Trivial About This Beating
Last night, Trivia at Rocks was an absolute delight. And by "delight" I mean "massacre, the likes of which have not been seen in Chicago since a few workers decided to rally in support of workers' rights at Haymarket Square back in 1886." Our team, The Hoosiers Totally Creaned Their Pants, was comprised of only Gregerson, Jester, and me. Even at half the size of many teams, our combined knowledge was not matched. As you may know, Rocks trivia is 6 rounds. In the first 5 rounds, we missed an unprecedented half point, which, ironically, came during the Name-That-Tune round -- traditionally a strength. We failed to put the "What's Your" before the "Fantasy" in the title of Ludacris's hilarious, Hump-Day-appropriate song. That was my bad. Going into the final round, we had a commanding 9-point lead over the second place team. We faltered ever-so-slightly in the final, "double jeopardy" round, missing two questions. Not that it mattered, since our lead was insurmountable. Good times. Think you got the goods to top that? Rocks. 1301 W. Schubert. Tuesday nights. 8 p.m. Be there. And show up early, or else I will shank you. With my knowledge, that is. Tag team, off the ropes. On the ocean or in the boat.
