My friend Gregerson turned an undisclosed age this past Saturday. One of his favorite karaoke songs is "Walking in Memphis" by Marc Cohn. The number of pairs of wet panties that women have thrown at him on the karaoke stage when he sings this song is immeasurable. Because zero isn't really a measurable quantity. Anywho, Cohn released his self-titled debut album 25 years ago this past Sunday, and that album featured "Walking in Memphis" -- a heartfelt story of a Jewish gospel music lover's spiritual awakening while visiting Memphis. It was Cohn's biggest hit, reaching #13 on the Billboard Hot 100. In honor of Gregerson's love of this song, here is the video.
