Updated Championship Week Predictions: "You Keep Me Hangin' On"

Today's Championship Week song is Vanilla Fudge's version of "You Keep Me Hangin' On" from the Ed Sullivan Show in 1968, partly because the song is a psychedelic masterpiece (and maybe the best cover of a Motown song? -- discuss), partly because I wanted to see a young Carmine Appice bashing out fantastic fills and crushing the drums in general, and partly because, well, Championship Week keeps me hanging on.

Here's what happened yesterday and what we have to look forward to today:

• In the A-Sun semis, top seed Lipscomb needed OT to beat 6-seed Queens, 81-75, and 2-seed North Alabama made easy work of 4-seed Jacksonville, 78-63.  When they face off in Sunday's title game, the Bisons -- and yes, it's a grammatically incorrect name -- will be playing for their second NCAA Tournament berth and first since 2018, and the Lions will be playing for their first ever berth.
• In the Horizon quarterfinals, 1-seed Robert Morris trounced 8-seed Wright State, 83-62, 2-seed Cleveland State held off 7-seed Northern Kentucky, 68-63, 6-seed Oakland upset 3-seed Milwaukee, 72-64 and 4-seed Youngstown State dropped 5-seed Purdue Fort Wayne, 72-67, to advance to Monday's semifinals.
• In the OVC quarters, 3-seed Tennessee State downed 6-seed Lindenwood, 69-55, and 4-seed Little Rock beat 8-seed Tennessee Martin, 82-77, to advance to today's semifinals.
• In the Patriot League quarterfinals, top seed Bucknell escaped in OT against 8-seed Loyola (MD), 76-72, 2-seed American escaped in regulation against 7-seed Lafayette, 71-69, 3-seed Colgate bombarded 6-seed Army, 84-55, and 5-seed Navy sunk 4-seed Boston, 86-78, to advance to Sunday's semis.
• In the first half of the Summit quarterfinals, top seed Omaha finished off 8-seed Kansas City, 70-61, and 2-seed St. Thomas snowplowed 7-seed Denver, 80-62, to advance to tomorrow's semis.
• In the Third Round of the Sun Belt, 10-seed Old Dominion upset 7-seed Texas State, 64-61, and 8-seed Georgia State beat in-state rival 9-seed Georgia Southern, 80-71, to advance to today's Fourth Round.
• In the First Round of the MVC, 5-seed Illinois State won bragging rights against 12-seed Missouri State, 70-54, 11-seed Valparaiso upended 6-seed UIC, 7-seed Murray State destroyed 10-seed Evansville, 74-53, and 8-seed Southern Illinois got a layup with 4 second left to beat 9-seed Indiana State, 86-85, to advance to today's quarterfinals.
• In the First Round of the WCC, 11-seed San Diego whale's vaginaed 10-seed Pacific, 81-77, to advance to today's second round.
