Updated Championship Week Predictions: "Already Gone"

Today's Championship Week song is "Already Gone" by The Eagles, in honor of the SIU Edwardsville Screaming Eagles being one game away from their first-ever NCAA Tournament appearance.  And, of course, those who lost are already gone.

Here's what happened yesterday and what we have to look forward to today:

• In the OVC semis, top seed Southeast Missouri State toppled 4-seed Little Rock, 78-59, and 2-seed SIU Edwardsville held off 3-seed Tennessee State, 71-69.  When they face off in today's championship game, the Redhawks will be playing for their 3rd trip to the Big Dance and first since 2023, and the Screaming Eagles will be playing for their first trip.
• In the Big South quarters, it went chalk, as 1-seed High Point dominated 8-seed Gardner-Webb, 85-64, 2-seed UNC Asheville crushed 7-seed Charleston Southern, 80-60, 3-seed Winthrop outlasted 6-seed Longwood, 88-79, and 4-seed Radford beat 6-seed Presbyterian, 74-69 in OT, to advance to today's semis.
• In the MVC quarterfinals, top seed Drake topped 8-seed Southern Illinois, 70-53, 2-seed Bradley beat 7-seed Murray State, 70-62, 11-seed Valparaiso upset 3-seed Northern Iowa, 64-63, and 4-seed Belmont bounced 5-seed Illinois State, 76-63, to advance to today's semifinals.
• In the second half of the Summit quarterfinals, 6-seed North Dakota dominated 3-seed South Dakota State, 85-69, and 5-seed South Dakota returned the favor by beating 4-seed North Dakota, 85-84, to advance to today's semis.
• In the Fourth Round of the Sun Belt, 5-seed Marshall held off 8-seed Georgia State, 79-76, and 10-seed Old Dominion upset 6-seed Appalachian State, 61-56, to advance to today's Fourth Round.
• In the Second Round of the WCC, 9-seed Pepperdine downed 8-seed Portland, 86-73, and 7-seed Loyola Marymount harkened back to the Westhead era, beating 10-seed Pacific, 100-74, to advance to today's third round.
• In the First Round of the CAA, 11-seed Delaware beat 14-seed Stony Brook, 80-76, and 12-seed Hofstra out-prided 13-seed North Carolina A&T, 77-55, to advance to today's second round.
• In the First Round of the SoCon, 7-seed VMI ruined the dreams of 10-seed The Citadel, 73-62, and 8-seed Mercer got a layup with four seconds left to beat 9-seed Western Carolina, 67-66, to advance to today's quarterfinals.
