Beer #16 in the beer advent calendar is from another great local brewery, Dovetail. They specialize in continental European-style beers traditionally brewed in Germany, Czechia, Belgium, and Austria. That means it's one of the few breweries I can go to -- or, more accurately, could go to before COVID -- where I don't have to worry about the draft list being dominated by hoppy beers. They don't make any! This one is their Kölsch-Style Ale. Like the pilsner, the kölsch is one of those styles of beer that is almost always good, but you never drink a kölsch and say, "This is the best beer I've ever had." But that's okay. This is light, crisp, refreshing, and crushable, as most kölsches are.
