Updated Championship Week Predictions

Yesterday was another big day, as the first Championship Week Sunday is in the books.  Here's what happened:

• In the Atlantic Sun, the top-seeded North Florida Ospreys earned their first trip to the Big Dance, beating South Carolina Upstate.
• In the Big South, the Chanticleers of Coastal Carolina beat Winthrop for their second NCAA Tournament appearance in a row.
• In the MVC championship game, bubble teams across the nation let out a sigh of relief, as Northern Iowa (who was already a shoo-in) came back from a sizeable first-half deficit to beat the Illinois State Redbirds, earning the Panthers their first NCAA Tournament berth since their Sweet 16 run in 2010.  Is Seth Tuttle this year's Ali Farokhmanesh?
• In the Colonial semis, top seed William & Mary won a 2OT thriller over Hofstra to advance to the finals, and 3-seed Northeastern beat 2-seed UNC-Wilmington.  The Tribe is shooting (basketball pun intended) for their first NCAA Tournament berth, while the Huskies are going for their 8th appearance and first since 1991.
• In the MAAC semis, top-seed Iona and 3-seed Manhattan both trounced their respective opponents.  The Gaels are going for their 11th NCAA Tournament appearance and first since 2013, and the Jaspers are going for their second in a row and 8th overall.
• In the Patriot League, the top two seeds went down.  4-seed Lafayette took down 1-seed Bucknell, and 6-seed American upset 2-seed Colgate.  Somewhere Adonal Foyle is crying.  The Lafayett Leopards will be going for their fourth NCAA Tournament berth and first since 2000, and the American Eagles are going for their second NCAA berth in a row and fourth overall.
• In the SoCon, 10-seed Furman continued its magical run by beating 3-seed Mercer.  The Paladins, who won only 8 games in the regular season and beat only one team with a winning record before the SoCon Tournament started, have won three games in a row for the first time all season.  They will be going for their 7th NCAA Tournament appearance and first since 1980.  In the other semi, top seed Wofford beat 4-seed Western Carolina.  The Terriers are going for their second NCAA berth in a row, fourth overall (and fourth in the last six years).
• All conference tournament seeding has now been set.  It's on, people!
• Two tournaments start today:  the MAC and the MEAC.
• Three bids are up for grabs today:  Colonial, the MAAC, and SoCon.
