Well, I finally finished reading Daniel C. Dennett's Breaking the Spell: Religion as a Natural Phenomenon. It essentially calls for the scrutiny of religion from a rational point of view, just as we scrutinize other things, in order to figure out whether religion as a whole is a good thing. It was okay, although in many places it was very heavy on jargon, which made it hard to follow sometimes. Overall, though, it presented an interesting viewpoint.
With that, I started reading Take a Walk on the Dark Side: Rock and Roll Myths, Legends, and Curses by R. Gary Patterson. As the title implies, it's about myths, legends, and curses in rock and roll. I'm sure I'm familiar with most of them, but it never hurts to brush up. So far so good.
